Sr. Manager, Cloud ServicesStatus: Exempt (Salaried) Department: 115 – Information TechnologyPosition SummaryThe Senior Manager, Azure Cloud Services, is a key leader in moving forward cloud strategy, ensuring support, and maximizing usage across the cloud portfolio.  This includes cloud services, SaaS, Azure, DevOps, and the Business Intelligence portfolio.  This role is an anchor to stakeholder communications, expectations, and solutions.  The individual is responsible for designing and architecting a cloud services strategy and delivery of cloud services across Plug Power’s enterprise environment.  Continual improvement, innovation and automation are important aspects of this role.   The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and leadership skills. The candidate will be detail-oriented, results focused, and display strong methodology knowledge, problem solving, and teamwork skills.  The Senior Manager will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with stakeholders to create and implement innovative solutions to appropriately manage risks within Technology.  The role will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Applications, and Infrastructure Operations to create and support an operational environment for new and existing services supported by Cloud Infrastructure.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead cloud strategy, drive solutions, develop offerings, and accelerators Maintain the business relationship with key leadership, functional partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction with capabilities and needsWork as the primary interface between senior stakeholders within IT and the Business to clearly define, communicate, document, and manage cloud service requirementsChampion and elevate enterprise-wide BI/data analytics capabilities, priorities, and adoptionUse knowledge of identity and access management in on-premises solutions and the cloud inclusive of Azure AD Connect, ADFS, and third-party identity providersDefine and implement these innovative solutions using concepts such as infrastructure-as-code (IaC), deployment orchestration, and automation templatesAbility to teach and influence stakeholders in the use of effective cloud solutions and best practicesAs Cloud services leader and architect, provide architectural vision and guidance demonstrating expertise, creativity, flexibility, and empathyEstablish strategy and best practices for cloud architecture and software development across the development teamsLead the software development teams in cultural change for cloud adoptionPartners with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Operations and Application areas to develop and maintain procedures for applications, services, DevOps, Service Management areasProvides guidance to Application teams to ensure adherence to Cloud architecture requirementsMonitor and manage technical escalation for Cloud Operations, ensuring timely liaison with vendors regarding problems, fixes, and required enhancements Work with others to identify new tools and process to improve the cloud platform and automate processes while driving capability and adoptionMaintain an up-to-date understanding of the main technology base, and a general understanding of the other technology bases which together form the overall technical direction Monitoring the performance of the service and Continuous Improvement of the serviceLead the development of an execution roadmap that details a strategic journey from the current state to realization of the future state vision with incremental release of technical and operational features and business valueExempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.  This may require they work more than eight hours a day and more than five days or 40 hours per week.  Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent job experience7+  years of enterprise management, program management, and/or cloud services experience5+ years experience and interest in cloud technologies; 3+ years of demonstrated Azure experience3+ years experience with common DevOps(Sec) methodologies and frameworks (Agile, SDLC, Waterfall, PMP, etc.)Prior experience of managing people in a global, matrixed organizationAnalytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to develop quick, accurate situational awarenessTrack record of driving customer value/satisfaction, managing customer escalations, balancing customer expectations, and negotiating successful resolutionsStrong organizational skills: self-motivation and the ability to overcome adversity effectivelyAbility to maintain open and constant communication with internal employees, contractors, customers, managers, and others as neededExperience with vendor performance management, including development and monitoring of SOWs and deliverables, SLA compliance, and general vendor relationship managementExposure and demonstrated experience in Data Warehousing / BI / Reporting solutions / Data Visualization platforms that deliver business valueStrong communication, presentation, written and facilitation skillsPay Rate:$86,815.00 - $138,904.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
