Assistant Controller, Hydrogen InfrastructureStatus: Exempt (Salaried) Department: Finance/AccountingPosition SummaryThe Assistant Controller role is an integral position in the financial operations team and Hydrogen Infrastructure support function. This role is critical to help drive strategic decision making within the Hydrogen Infrastructure space based upon the measurement of financial data. This position is tasked to assist the management team with managing the cost accounting function associated with the construction and installation of Hydrogen sites. The Assistant Controller must also be available to develop custom reporting, analytics, and provide fact-based guidance upon request for various business purposes. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and perform the monthly accounting duties associated with the recognition of costs for the construction and installation of hydrogen sitesPerform booking journal entries and account reconciliationsPerform balance sheet reviews and profit & loss statement scrubsDevelop H2 Infrastructure cost reporting processes for the communication of monthly/quarterly actual results vs budgetAnalyze purchase order, and work orders to ensure accurate and timely reportingAnalyze material costs, labor and overhead and properly record deferrals as neededMaintain productivity metrics & KPIs for H2 InfrastructureResponsible for budgeting and forecasting H2 Infrastructure costs. Work with Operations teams to accurately forecast financial dataAssist in coordination of capital expenditureDevelop and grow strong cross-functional relationships with Senior Leadership and Project Managers to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communicationPrepare and execute strategies that optimize working capitalLeverage Business Intelligence tools to reduce manual work and automate financial reportingProvide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to management for decision makingRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA / CMA desiredFive (5) or more years of related work experienceCost Accounting experience requiredJob order costing knowledgeFinancial systems ERP experience; SAP a plusDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailSuperior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualityPay Rate:$75,240.00 - $112,860.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
