Senior Financial Analyst (Corporate)Status: Exempt (Salaried)Department: Finance/AccountingLocation: Latham, NY (two – three days on site)Position SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the fiscal health of business activities while positioning the Company for the achievement of financial targets and strategic goals within the Finance/ FP&A team. The successful candidate will support with forecasting, financial modeling, and the annual budget process. Additionally, this individual will also aide in developing balance sheet and cash flow analytics as well as KPIs. The Senior Financial Analyst will review analytical outputs for those KPIs to ensure forecasts are accurately built. The ideal candidate for the role is someone with a very good understanding of US GAAP and a high acumen for financial data analysis, who is also comfortable to translate information and communicate at all levels of the organization to help drive strategic decision-making. The position requires strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable shifting priorities and lending finance expertise within diverse work assignments.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the review of the consolidated balance sheet and cash flows, development of KPIs for working capital and cash flows, continued development of budgets, financial forecasts, operating plans and modeling toolsAnalyze financial and operational results of various different business units to better understand company performanceSummarize and communicate to management the reasons behind the departments’ performance and results; provide detailed analysis and commentary on resultsBuild and maintain highly effective cross-functional relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication and value-added working relationshipsProvide insights to management around financial modeling, forecasts and profitabilitySupport business development activities by analyzing current financial data and modeling forward-looking financial metrics; provide strategic recommendations based upon this financial due diligence processPrepare and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis requested by management and department leaders as needed to support the businessRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsEducation and Experience BS degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA highly preferredFour or more years of related work experience; Big 4, or experience within a public company manufacturing operation in a controllership or FP&A role.Proven track record of helping to drive strategic direction through financial analysisDynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex financial metrics to diverse audiences and stakeholdersUncompromising dedication to customer service excellenceDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailSuperior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareMust be driven and self-motivatedAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualityPay Rate:$62,700.00 - $94,050.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
