Spares Team LeaderStatus: Non-Exempt (hourly) Department: Field Service – hourlyPosition SummaryThe Spares Team Leader directs the workflow of a team unit to ensure that tasks are completed to support the needs of customer sites in the field and the manufacturing facility as a whole. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. The Spares Team Leader position is expected to represent Plug Power with the highest standards of professionalism and a supreme focus upon work quality. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeads daily production efforts within the team; including material management and daily production scheduling.Assign and assist technicians in completion of scheduled production items; monitor work in progress and ensure adherence to schedule, assign resources as necessary to maintain flow and complete departmental tasks. Lead 5S efforts and set the vision and example for all team members to follow.Work with production scheduler to control materials usage, maintain inventory accuracy and ensure schedule conformance.Process Finished Goods and Materials Usage / Scrap reports.Provide troubleshooting and repair guidance and direction.Help define documentation requirements for assembly; collaborate as needed with internal partners.Analyze data and prepare reports as needed in the course of work. Work with Manufacturing Engineering staff to develop and define assembly procedures and the associated training for those procedures; provide assembly procedural training to employees when needed.Participate as needed with project teams related to assembly requirements and programs; support project teams as needed with all other relevant initiatives.Adhere to safety standards at all times while enforcing safe work habits with all team members; this includes all OSHA regulations and facility safety guidelines.Assist in performance management activities including preparation of performance evaluations, recognition efforts for strong performing team members, and assistance with disciplinary matters as necessary by partnering with supervisor and HR.Perform other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience High school diploma or equivalentManufacturing industry experience; preferably within a technology product manufacturing facilityPrevious supervisory experience highly preferredSuperior interpersonal skills and communication abilitiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailDemonstrated proficiency with project management and team leadershipRole model for high standards of professionalismResults-oriented and driven work styleExcellent task-oriented follow-throughPay Rate:$22.12 - $31.68We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
