Spares Production SupervisorStatus: Exempt (salaried)                                                                  Department: Aftermarket SupportPosition SummaryThe Spares Manager role is critical to direct the flow of materials through the service business including inbound materials, outbound goods, and return materials. This includes managing all day-to-day service manufacturing operations with respect to planning, inventory, assembly, kitting, remanufacturing, and part usage across the service business. The ideal candidate is someone who possesses a thorough knowledge of manufacturing best practices and has a demonstrated track record in operations management. The Spares Manager must be prepared to adapt to the ever-changing needs of a fast-paced service organization while coaching their team to success. It is necessary that the Spares Manager set procedural standards in place for the service organization through effective training and ongoing communication. This leadership will help ensure that team members are developed and capable to perform the essential job functions to meet business needs and maintain customer service excellence.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage all day-to-day spares operations, remote and on site; assign team tasks and lead daily efforts to meet service deliverables.Maintain thorough knowledge of all process and equipment.Manage spares production planning, operations, re-manufacturing including vendor communication and warranty process.Evaluate and develop departmental procedures and goals on an ongoing basis; champion process improvement initiatives as appropriate to increase accuracy and efficiency.Build and maintain effective relationships with direct report team members; delegate task and project assignments; provide guidance on service standards.Develop colleague relationships within various sectors of the business including procurement, warehouse, production, and engineering to support mutual company goals.Establish rigid quality standards within the department focusing upon customer/service quality; challenge team members to elevate department service and quality standards.Analyze and report operational metrics related to accuracy, timeliness, process efficiency, and other relevant data points within the department.Maintain and enforce a safe environment and a culture of safety in alignment with 5S principles and in accordance with all OSHA regulation.Lead performance management activities including the preparation of performance evaluations, handling of disciplinary matter, and others as necessary by partnering with your supervisor and Human Resource team.Education and ExperienceAssociate degree in engineering, business or relevant field of study preferred; will consider experience in lieu of degree requirement.5+ years relevant work history within a warehouse/logistics/manufacturing functionSupervisory experience required.Strong leadership skills including daily communications with the team and with internal customers.Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a must; work order system experience preferred.Skilled with project management and strategic planning.Superior verbal and written communication skills.Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.Excellent follow-through.Must be driven and self-motivated.Pay Rate:$52,250.00 - $78,375.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
