This team has a unique opportunity presented by construction's outsized contribution to greenhouse gases, with 40% of the world's greenhouse gases coming from the built environment and 13% from construction alone.As a Senior UX Designer on the team, you will focus on enabling our customers to meaningfully bring these concerns of ecological impact into their day-to-day work. By providing practical, cost-effective ways of incorporating sustainability into decision-making, you can help change the way the construction industry shapes our built environment and world.As a cross-product, mission-driven designer, you will collaborate with teams across our product ecosystem alongside your Product Management and Engineering partners. This team will uniquely be positioned to discover and pursue opportunities in different products for a range of user personas in support of the sustainability and impact mission. Furthermore, as a team lead and experience designer you will be an important contributor to developing the team’s vision, strategy and operational model.We’re looking for someone who is a champion for human-centered design, a relentless advocate for user needs, and has a track record of driving design strategy in complex problem spaces to deliver compelling user experiences. This position can be based anywhere in Canada. This is a remote-friendly role.ResponsibilitiesPartner with product managers, engineers, researchers and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specificationsAssist in the formation and development of a new team and its vision, strategy and operating modelCollaborate closely with one or more remote teams, working iteratively to deliver customer valueUse customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisions Help to facilitate and participate in user research like interviews and usability testing to validate designs and make iterative improvements Contribute to efforts to create scalable experience design standards and improve design processes Participate in and lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challengesMinimum Qualifications  4+ years of related professional experience Quality portfolio of recent work Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence Demonstrable experience utilizing a variety of human-centered design methods and best practices Understanding of task analysis, experience mapping, low-fidelity prototyping, user testing and more.
