The team is seeking a Backend developer with hands-on experience in building API’s and Integrations in AWS. You will be working with Finance Engineering teams to build Integrations with our SAP S4 HANA. Our engineering culture will empower you to make effective decisions, work collaboratively, and take accountability for engineering projects at the core of the company.As a Backend Developer specializing in AWS (Amazon Web Services), your primary responsibility will be designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and infrastructure that powers our applications and services on the AWS platform. Responsibilities Develop Cloud-native backend services using NodeJS and JavaScript/TypeScript. Being proficient in Python is a plusHands-on experience with the AWS Serverless stackAPI Development: Create and maintain RESTful APIs that enable seamless communication between the frontend and backend systems. Ensure APIs are well-documented, performant, and secureTesting and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of backend components and APIs to identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and performance issues. Implement and maintain automated testing processes to ensure code qualityPerformance Optimization: Monitor backend performance, identify areas of improvement, and implement optimizations to enhance system scalability, response times, and resource utilizationSecurity and Compliance: Implement security best practices and measures to safeguard backend systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulationsCode Reviews and Collaboration: Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback to team members and maintain code qualityCollaborate with frontend developers and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration between backend and frontend componentsContinuous Integration and Deployment: Work closely with the DevOps team to automate build, deployment, and scaling processes using CI/CD pipelinesDocumentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architectural designs, API documentation, and system diagrams, to ensure proper understanding and maintenance of the backend infrastructureWork closely with Architects, Technical leads, Product owner, and others to drive towards a common visionActively participate in code reviews of their code and that of peersWork in fast-paced development using agile methodologiesAdhere to Autodesk's internal quality standardsCollaborate with a distributed team and stakeholdersBe a passionate and empathetic advocate of architecture, design, and software engineering principlesMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field10+ years of experience as a Backend Developer with expertise in AWS services and infrastructureSolid understanding of fundamental web technologies such as HTTP, REST, AJAX and JSONExperience in Micro-services, REST API / Open API architecture/developmentExperience in building API’s that integrate with SAP S4 HANA is a PlusStrong hands-on experience with Node, RESTful API, Microservices frameworksProficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScriptStrong understanding of cloud-based architecture, serverless computing, and microservicesHands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, API Gatewat, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation, etcIn-depth knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, and their use casesFamiliarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plusUnderstanding of security principles, authentication, and authorization mechanisms in AWSExperience with version control systems like GitStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience/Familiarity with SAP ERP SuiteKnowledge in ERP Finance domainFamiliarity with API connectivity to SAP S4 HANA is a plus#LI-DA1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
