Job Requisition ID #23WD71662Position Overview At the Autodesk Building and Infrastructure Design Group we develop industry leading software used by hundreds of thousands of architects and engineers to design the world we inhabit - from the world’s tallest skyscrapers and largest airports to the homes and office buildings that you visit every day. We are looking for a Software Architect to drive the evolution of our building information modeling (BIM) applications and services to deliver seamless workflows, domain expertise, cloud compute power and trusted platform to our customers. The position will be located in Krakow or Bucharest and includes working with geographically dispersed teams. Responsibilities Provide technical leadership within the organization by working closely with product managers, development teams and other stakeholders on the requirement analysis, ideation and solutioning of customer problems. You will lead technical discussions, create high quality architecture designs, and advocate for architecture values. Your area of focus will be leveraging cloud compute services in BIM authoring, including rearranging capabilities between desktop and cloud. Act as a coach to other technical team members, bringing them in and enabling them to contribute to the technical leadership. Successfully enabling and coaching others is an integral part of your success in this role. Work with other software architects on formulating and realizing the technical strategy for our products in alignment with the broader Autodesk and AEC platform strategy. Help de-risk critical aspects of software designs using discussions and reviews, estimates, hands-on prototyping and other means. Act as role model for applying best practices to software design. Proactively share knowledge and consult with others. Steer the teams towards feasible and extensible solutions that ensure desired level of reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Minimum Qualifications Track record of creating good, maintainable software designs Track record of technical leadership as a software architect or a dev lead Excellent ability to communicate in English, in oral and written form. Experience presenting to various audiences and ability to articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms 5+ years of experience designing and building secure, scalable, and available cloud services Experience developing large desktop authoring applications Knowledge of the modern front end web development paradigms supported by experience is a plus. Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Experience with AWS and JavaScript Experience with .NET and C# Familiarity with BIM modeling for structural engineering or MEP domain is highly desirable Familiarity with Autodesk Platform Services is a plus Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant engineering discipline #LI-POST#LI-AC1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
