Job Requisition ID #23WD71674Position OverviewAs the Program Manager, Technology Excellence (Events), you will lead the planning, execution, and management of Autodesk's internal technical conferences, including TechX and Architects Forums. You will coordinate many aspects of event logistics, ensuring seamless operations, and delivering engaging and impactful conferences that help us contribute to our employees' professional development and organizational success.You will be reporting to the Senior Director, Technology Excellence within our PSET (Platform Services and Emerging Technologies) team.This position can be 100% remote, located in the Western United States.ResponsibilitiesConference Execution:Collaborate with our Technology Excellence events team to help us develop conference agendas and session formatsManage aspects of internal event logistics, including venue selection, accommodations, transportation, and cateringCoordinate with speakers, presenters and volunteers to ensure delivery of contentPartner with internal departments, such as brand, internal communications, finance and IT, to ensure seamless coordination of conference logistics and promotionsHelp us identify potential conference topics, session ideas, and speakersDesign and implement strategies to enhance the attendee experience, including networking opportunities, interactive sessions, and post-event surveysManage volunteer and speaker enablement processes, including communications and tasksMonitor participant engagement and provide real-time support during conferences to address any issuesManage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensure cost-effective solutionsNegotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, looking for competitive pricing and favorable termsProvide regular budget updates, reporting to the Director of Internal Technical ConferencesKey contact liaison for speakers and volunteers on-site, ensuring a smooth operation throughout the conferenceCoordinate with event team and volunteers to guarantee a cohesive and successful event experienceMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in event management preferred; event management certification preferred3+ years of experience in event planning and project management, with a focus on technical conferences or professional development eventsOrganizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage complex timelinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with speakers, vendors, and attendeesProficiency in event management software and toolsPrior experience in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesDemonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressureKnowledge of technology trends and best practicesFlexibility to travel for conferences and related activities#LI-DW1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $82,900 and $143,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
