Infinera’s Content Region team is expanding and seeking a customer facing Subsea Sales Engineering representative working with account directors focused on specific accounts. Perform technical tasks, including written proposals, network design and engineering and quotes. Highly motivated professional, able to work independently, must be able to communicate solutions to customers and manage ongoing technical relationship. Ability to work with internal Infinera organization(s) to drive product requirements and provide customer feedback to product management.Job DescriptionPresales technical engagement for Infinera’s subsea business in the Content Region as a subsea solutions architectProvide product and technical expertise to support sales efforts of Infinera subsea and related solutions (e.g. terrestrial backhaul transport, NMS, DCN)Consult with current and potential customers on application of Infinera subsea solutions by analyzing networks and identifying requirementsOwnership of subsea network design, bill of material, solution descriptions and presentationsExperience in use of Infinera network design and modelling toolsAssist with preparation of customer proposals and quotationsSupport Infinera sales and project team with closing orders and implementation delivery of network solutionsSupport sales and project teams as a technical expertAssist with technical marketing of Infinera solutions as well as providing customer and market feedback in terms of trends and solution requirementsMinimum RequirementsMust have 5+ years Sales Engineering customer facing experienceMust have 3-5+ years Subsea Sales Engineering customer facing experience, including cable capacity modeling, solution designs, BOMs, etcMust have experience with Infinera portfolio and Infinera Subsea SolutionsMust have 5+ years customer technical engagement experience – defending technical designs with detailed presentationsMust have prior customer engagement experience with Content Customers  and/or very large Tier 1 accountsQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degreeTechnical expertise in submarine network design. Subsea business experience.Technical knowledge of physical layer optical communications (modulation, transmission etc) and submarine wetplant equipment.
