EMEA Tax Director - ASC 740

EMEA Tax DirectorGiesing, Munich, GermanyHybrid Home & OfficeAs a Tax Director you will focus on the advisory side of the role and will be the primary lead for tax audits in the EMEA region while managing a team who is Income Tax and VAT compliance and reporting focused.  You will report to the VP of Tax and Treasury.  To be considered for this role, you will be comfortable with being autonomous across all taxes and from a compliance management through to advisory level.  You will enjoy interacting with different corporate and business divisions, as well as outside advisors and government agencies, in order to provide tax advice and effectively manage the Company’s reputation.  What you will do:Proactively manage the relationship with German & EMEA tax authorities Provide strategic tax advisory services, including structuring, business partnering, and legal entity rationalizationReview corporate tax and VAT compliance to ensure adherence to timelines and regulationsReview ASC 740 calculations for reporting into the U.S. parent for correct application of ASC 740 guidelines as well as calculation accuracyEffectively communicate complex tax requirements & drive efficient change for complianceLead the EMEA cash tax and tax expense forecasting for U.S. parent reporting requirementsBuild a positive and inclusive work culture, serving as a role model to create a great workplace at InfineraAchieve corporate objectives and optimize profit through best practice matter managementActively contribute to recruiting, retaining, and developing talent within the organizationCollaborate on initiatives to drive business growth, leveraging your specialist skillsLead efforts to protect and enhance partner relationships, particularly in your area of expertiseWhat we are looking for:Extensive experience in corporate and VAT tax matters including recent experience of leadershipExperience as the Tax Lead of German tax litigation and Luxembourg tax auditsExperience being part of a Global Tax TeamStrong team player with exceptional communication & interpersonal skillsU.S. ASC 740 technical interpretation and calculation experience; U.S. SOX Control experienceEffective management of a complex and diverse workloadSelf-motivated and eager to learn and growExperience in mentoring and developing others' skills and knowledgeFluency in German and EnglishWhat we offer:Flexible and hybrid working model with up to 3 home office days per weekModern office in the heart of Munich Active promotion of your development, e.g. through continuous performance feedback, further training and soft skill coaching through LinkedIn Learning Support by a team of highly skilled and dedicated colleagues who celebrate successes together #LI-GA1#LI-HybridInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
