CA Pay Range (Annual):$156,800.00 - $291,200.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Duties may also include existing product engineering support and documentation. JOB DESCRIPTION:This Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, validation and release to production of Printed Circuit Boards containing digital and mixed signal circuits for deployment into the telecommunications market. Duties may also include existing product engineering support and documentation. Understand and evaluate microservice architecture technology stacks for large data processing, write algorithms to map and reduce data for network analytics, use container-based architecture to build network applications.Drives designs from conception through MFG production, including architecture requirements, functional specifications, design, prototypes, H/W bring up, and verificationAbility to work with cross-functional teams (SW, FW, SDVT, Optical, Architecture)Responsible for PCBA design including schematics capture, layout, and full EDVTWorks closely with Mechanical Engineers and FPGA designersWrites detailed board-level functional specificationsSupports product through pre & postproduction releaseDevelops and executes DVT plans to ensure high reliability in field deploymentDefines production test requirements and provides manufacturing support as necessaryWorks closely with diagnostics and software developers to define bring-up strategyAbility to work with ODM vendors to review design schematics & EDVT reports, and provides guidance as neededREQUIREMENTS:MS/BSEE with 10 or more years’ experience with board level hardware design, including strong knowledge of schematic capture, PCB layout, logic & signal integritySolid experience in microprocessor & digital circuit design, implementation of high speed I/O and clock termination techniques requiredGood knowledge of ARM based dual core processor platforms (Xilinx Zynq family or similar)Working experience with Xilinx FPGA; Defines pin-out and provides requirements for FPGA designersWorking experience with Cadence schematic capture and layout tools.Good understanding of Ethernet (CAUI4, 200GAUI-4, 400GAUI-8, FlexE), and OTN (OTU4) Standards is a plus.Good knowledge/work experience with high speed SerDes and applicable layout constraintsExperience with implementation of on-board DC/DC power supplies, LDOs, and hot swap circuitryKnowledge of power sequencing, clock skew control / compensationKnowledge of PCB fabrication, fab & assembly design rules, and product integration with mechanical componentsKnowledge of Cadence Concept and Allegro is considered a plusGood writing and communication skills requiredAbility to work independently and across multiple time zones is considered plus#LI-JP1Infinera is an equal opportunity employer.
