CA Pay Range (Annual):$130,900.00 - $243,100.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The candidate will work within the PIC design and engineering team on simulation, data analysis and product development from reliable design concepts, performance verification and optimization and transfer to manufacturing. The broad job responsibilities include hands-on work in designing the next generation of PICs, implementing the processes through the fab, and testing the resulting circuits to verify performance. The person should be able to develop and manage risk assessments  and be able to develop and manage project schedules.RequirementsPh.D in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or a related discipline with emphasis in optical communications and high speed optical components.Strong background with semiconductor optical devices such as laser, detectors, modulators and other integrated waveguide devices.A strong understanding of InP opto-electronic fabrication process development hands-on experience and material characterization and epitaxy knowledgeExperience in the use of optical and electronic modeling and simulation to design electro-optical devices, and lithographic mask specification, design and pattern generation.Ability to work with a large body of data and the necessary statistical analysis tools, and the ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience.The Job will require frequent collaborative interaction with fab, epitaxy, test and reliability engineering, packaging, product engineering, and system engineering groups.ResponsibilitiesWork with a team of strong individual designers on the design and development of high performance Photonic devicesEnhance and rigorously execute design methodologies and processesLead interactions within internal teams on design and qualification effortsDevelop and actively manage project requirements, schedules, and risk profilesProvide inputs into product road mapsEducation and Experience:Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or a related discipline with emphasis in optical communications and high speed optical components or M.S./M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering or Photonics, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.#LI-SR2Infinera is an equal opportunity employer.
