Search JobsJob DescriptionDuties: Research, design and implement next generation cutting edge cloud-based computing software platforms, security products and solutions to deliver solid code and working applications that provide the appropriate level of security, performance and reliability. Work independently, taking ownership of technical features and technical design, identifying, and resolving significant and unique design issues early. Engage in design and code review of the product, developing and validating enterprise-class, storage virtualization software components and modules. Lead solution architecture and design and demonstrate strong solution skills and best practices resulting in robust, future ready and scalable solutions. Perform in-depth root cause analysis, implement code fixes and improvements requested by customers from requirements gathering phase through delivery. Utilize broad expertise and unique knowledge to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for complex problems in cloud computing environments. Provides technical leadership, collaboration and guidance to junior developers, Support Engineers, QA Engineers and Field teams and other team members to lead the design and code reviews with a major focus on performance, scalability and future expansion, and improve software development processes, providing insight to the team on how to make code maintainable and product diagnosable and serviceable.Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related position. In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related position.Employer requires at least six (6) of the following skills gained through industry experience:C/C++ programming and ARM64, x86 or similar assemblers, Perl, Go, Python or other programming languages;Multi-processor architectures (multi-processor/Symmetric multi-processor programming, cache architecture, barriers);Baremetal, Virtualization, cloud computing or storage technologies;Data Structures and Algorithms;Operating Systems internals - Linux/BSDs/Windows NT;Designing and developing kernel level projects including systems software, kernel modules, or device drivers;Version control and collaborative code review tools such as git, gerrit, or perforce;System bring-ups, CPU, Chipset: CPU, UEFI firmware, EDK boot loaders, chipset, SMP/NUMA, interrupt controllers, SMMU/IOMMUs, PCIe, CXL etc.*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. Multiple openings.  Ref #R2307103.For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $192,941- $272,000.  The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
