Discover efficient protocols to recover from failures.Requirements: Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field.Employer requires at least five (5) skills gained through industry experience or PhD coursework:Computer Systems, Computer Networks, Databases, Distributed and Parallel Systems, Cryptography, Machine Learning, or Security and Privacy;Programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java;Operating systems including Linux and Windows;Theoretical computer science;Data structures and algorithms;Writing research papers for distributed system conferences;Analyzing fault-tolerance and high availability issues, performance and scale challenges;Conducting theoretical and practical analysis of the performance of distributed and parallel systems.*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. Multiple openings. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
