As part of the Horizon team you will be involved in writing code, design and development of scalable software. You will be owning engineering initiatives and champion a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? First 6months : You will need to understand overall architecture for Horizon Cloud services, its interoperating components and be able to design and contribute towards adding more capabilities to the product You will need to ensure taking care of quality, security, reliability and scalability for the product use cases designed and added You will be expected to lead and work cross team towards designing and delivering the product capabilities. You will be expected to have a good understanding of CI/CD and know how of designing and building secure, reliable and scalable cloud services. 6+ months You will be expected to look at the existing architecture of Horizon Enterprise solution and propose towards architectural improvements to enable seamless releases. You will be expected to carry customer first mindset, understand the field requirements work with Product Management team on prioritising the backlogs and look at enabling our product offerings You will be expected to contribute to build secure, reliable, and scalable micro services deployed into Kubernetes stack. You will be expected to propose and work towards areas of improvements in the product architecture, design or processes ensuring continuous improvements in our product delivery. You will be expected to lead and mentor the team towards growth mindset. The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? You will build and design Front-end applications using Angular, TypeScript. You will work with cross teams and product management to review and refine the requirements for building the product capabilities You will contribute to write well proposed design documents and have them reviewed with all relevant stake holders You will contribute to brainstorm and propose architectural improvements to the product You will work closely with Customer engineering teams to perform RCCA's of critical customer issues and propose towards building a resilient system You will work closely towards enabling application to be VPAT compliant You will work closely to phase off legacy systems used in the product and bring latest technology improvement proposals to how we deliver our service What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? This role will be reporting to the Manager, Engineering. Our team's focus is on challenging the status quo by innovating but at the same time getting stuff done. We believe in building trust amongst all our stakeholders and committing to make our customers successful. The team is organized based on modules to define clear responsibility and accountability. At the same time teams are fluid enough to own up whatever is needed for the larger product to be successful. Where is this role located? Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.
