Advanced development (xLabs) efforts focuses on near-term goals to advance VMware’s relevance in AI and Generative AI. I lead the Americas engineering team focused on near-term goals to advance VMware’s relevance in AI and Generative AI. This position will be a contributor role for an existing early innovation project which has received extremely positive feedback from stakeholders including the CTO. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with other world class innovators and understand the dynamics of building new technology in a ‘startup like’ context within a large and mature company. The project has great visibility across the company with upcoming showcases to the industry. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within your first 6 months Work closely with our UI/UX experts, designers, product managers and backend engineers to build modern, responsive, and modular rich web applications using React for our security copilot by attending internal training, reading technical material, and having conversations with peers and team members. Collaborate with backend engineers to create easily consumable APIs for frontend interfaces, present customer data in the web applications and allow users to interact with the system for anomaly detection and remediation. Contribute to product direction and design discussions. The Work: What type of work will you be doing?
