What is the primary need, technical challenge and/or problem you will be responsible for?You will be part of Tanzu R&D Team, working as an automation engineer for end to end qualification of Tanzu product portfolio, with a focus on a developing and maintaining CI pipeline that is responsible for shipping release readiness of Tanzu products. We are looking for a passionate and experienced engineer who has proven experience with building and implementation of Continuous Integration pipeline, workflow automation and automation framework. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-performing team and gain experience with cutting-edge tools and technologies.The ideal candidate will have experience with public and private cloud distributions (AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, TKG, Rancher), automated infrastructure development, experience in developing automation libraries for CI pipeline, workflow automation, CI execution and maintenance of CI. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Jenkins/Concourse is must; working experience with Golang and SaaS products is desirable.Within the first 6-12 months, what are the 2-3 most important performance goals (described as SMART Goals if possible) I would be expected to complete for you to consider me successful in this role?You will be expected to:Develop libraries and tools to implement automation infrastructure.Implement and maintain automated CI pipeline for both public and private cloud distribution.Enhance and improve CI pipeline and infrastructure.What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?In addition to what’s implied in the goals above, the below tasks are representative of your day-to-dayTroubleshoot issues pertaining to CI pipeline and fix them.Own CI pipeline outcome; debug failures; successful root cause analysis of failures.Report observed product issues and work with developers to resolve the same.Understand automation challenges and implement solutions or tools to resolve.Collaborate with team members, technical leads to identify and resolve issues.Continuous enhancement of the CI as product requirement changes.
