You will manage the quote-to-order cycle, with a focus on customer and business outcomes, while applying strong business and commercial acumen, problem-solving skills and creativity in driving deal structures that maximize revenue KPIs and adherence with established policies.Establishing strong cross-functional relationships and collaboration with the Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, Legal and Order Management teams is essential for this role.Responsibilities:Serves as trusted advisor to the Sales team on quoting, contracting options and approval processesSubject matter expert on sales approval policiesPartners with Sales to accelerate quote cycle through operational efficiencies and educationManages complex, strategic deals from concept to booking – including proactive engagement with Sales, Revenue Recognition and Legal teams on deal structure, quoting, pricing, margin and contracting to ensure compliance with internal policies and drive revenue and customer outcomesAssists to interpret contractual language and escalate as necessary to ensure that deals comply with legal, revenue recognition and other operational policies. May assist in drafting contract language for certain commercial deal termsAwareness of the Company’s revenue-related KPIs and influence deal structures that maximize revenue and customer outcomesPartner with Sales/Sales Operations to ensure forecast accuracy, and with the Order Operations team to ensure deals are correctly bookedLeads regular training to Sales reps on Deal Desk, Bookings Policy and overall QTC best practicesAssist Manager, Deal Desk with monthly reporting, ad hoc requests and projects as necessaryRequirements:Minimum 3 years demonstrated success in Deal Desk role in Enterprise Software/SaaS B2B Industry requiredExperience with Salesforce CPQ or other CPQ tool highly preferredStrong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to partner with upstream GTM teams and other cross-functional departmentsHighly organized, customer-focused and strong attention to detailAbility to multi-task and prioritize at times of high volume, schedule flexibility during End of Month and End of QuarterExcellent communication skills and open to feedbackSolid understanding of revenue recognition rules, sales contracts, SOX; ability to recognize risk in deal terms and/or structureSolid understanding of software licensing and SaaS provisioning processIf you find yourself checking a lot of these boxes but doubting whether you should apply?
