Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.As Illumina’s Staff Product Manager for the NovaSeq X product line, you will manage on-market NovaSeq X systems and core reagents and support uptake of this portfolio across multiple applications, segments, and geographies. This role will be critical in supporting the large existing user base for Illumina’s high-throughput systems and core reagents.  As a product manager, the role will support the development of product requirements, market definition and commercialization tactics for new product introduction, as well as enabling the commercial team to address new and emerging markets and applications.Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of on-market products including analysis of business trends, market sizing, customer segmentation and competitive analysis.Act as the product management lead to facilitate implementation of product updates to the existing portfolio to support customer needs and continuous portfolio improvement.Develop sales tools for specific applications in collaboration with related departments.Collaborate with sales and marketing groups to develop product messagingStay current on competitor activities and define differentiators.Support the definition of new products using techniques such as voice of customer and voice of field.Work closely with R&D and other departments to ensure products meet the company’s high standards.Support the development of new product requirements through execution of market research and voice of customer activities.Analyze customer and market trends to develop insights into new product requirements and commercialization strategies.Perform other duties as assigned.                                                                        All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.Requirements: 5-7 years of product management or similar experience.Experience with genetic analysis (sequencing, genotyping and/or expression) and/or liquid handling automation is strongly preferred.Familiarity with marketing research techniquesExperience defining user requirements is preferredSales or customer facing experience is strongly preferred.Strong project management and organizational skills are requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills are requiredExcellent communication and team management skills are requiredWilling to travel up to 20% Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Genetics, Business or related field or equivalent years.Master’s Degree and/or PhD is preferred.MBA is preferred.The estimated base salary range for the Staff Product Manager, NovaSeq X role based in the United States of America is: $124,300 - $186,500. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
