This role will be critical in supporting the large existing user base for Illumina’s high-throughput systems and core reagents. As a product manager, the role will support the development of product requirements, market definition and commercialization tactics for new product introduction, as well as enabling the commercial team to address new and emerging markets and applications.Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of on-market products including analysis of business trends, market sizing, customer segmentation and competitive analysis.Act as the product management lead to facilitate implementation of product updates to the existing portfolio to support customer needs and continuous portfolio improvement.Develop sales tools for specific applications in collaboration with related departments.Collaborate with sales and marketing groups to develop product messagingStay current on competitor activities and define differentiators.Support the definition of new products using techniques such as voice of customer and voice of field.Work closely with R&D and other departments to ensure products meet the company’s high standards.Support the development of new product requirements through execution of market research and voice of customer activities.Analyze customer and market trends to develop insights into new product requirements and commercialization strategies.Perform other duties as assigned. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
