Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Job DescriptionThe Associate Director, Product Management for DNA/RNA assays is responsible for the market leading NGS DNA/RNA RUO sample prep portfolio. This position will also lead a team of high performing Product Managers responsible for all product lifecycle activities and market strategy of the DNA/RNA NGS assays. The successful candidate will be a highly independent, seasoned veteran who can creatively lead cross-functional programs, act as the subject expert and product champion with internal stakeholders and our customers while building best-in-class marketing capabilities.Job ResponsibilitiesLead a team of Product Managers responsible for Illumina’s NGS DNA/RNA RUO sample prep portfolio.Serve as domain and customer expert working closely with commercial, segment and regional marketing functions to ensure Illumina’s growth in this category.Lead development, planning and execution of multi-year product strategy based on deep customer insights and market dynamics.Partner with R&D to establish and execute on a long-term product roadmap based on customer needs and market understanding.Influence across functions to drive the NGS Systems business. Oversee market modeling, forecasting, S&OP process, development of business cases, pricing, and promotions.Expected to track and monitor the business and report on key metrics.Serve as product expert and champion with the ability to engage key customers and partners on product parameters and capabilities.Understand key business drivers, based on data and analytics, market trends and direct interaction with Commercial teams and customers.Responsible for forecasting and financial analysis related to the library prep portfolio.Partner with Commercial Organization and Regional Marketing to support them in interactions with existing and new customers.Build close relationships with key customers, thought leaders, partners, and industry influencers to stay abreast of emerging market trends.Responsible for development of a high performing Product Management Team, with ability to attract top talent and mentor, coach and develop existing employees.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree required, MBA or PhD a plus.Must have at least 7+ years of industry experience in Product Marketing or Product Management.Must have been a marketing leader, both pre- and post-launch, for a major product line.Demonstrated experience in developing and requirements for new product development and management of on market products in the life sciences field.Must have strong analytical skills – ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy and make data driven decisions is critical.Must have demonstrated effective collaboration in matrixed or highly cross-functional business settings.Demonstrated track record of successfully building new markets and market strategy is strongly preferred.Background in epigenetics, cell-free analytes, knowledge of multiomic applications is an asset.The estimated base salary range for the Associate Director, Product Management, Core Assays role based in the United States of America is: $149,600 - $224,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
