This role will be responsible for facilities equipment engineering, Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM), validation, and calibration programs including construction engineering project support related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in an FDA regulated environment. The individual will possess technical knowledge of all facilities systems, GMP validation, GMP compliance, construction commissioning, and drawing management SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the Northern California sites.Job Details·        Lead Equipment Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) program·        Ability to serve as the (SME) for a variety of facilities equipment supporting manufacturing, critical business functions and administrative areas.·        Work closely with project engineers to provide project scope of work, review proposals, plans and other documentation as needed to ensure successful execution while complying with specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.·        Maintain facilities compliance including Facilities Requirement Specifications (FRS) and User Requirement Specifications (URS)·        Ability to serve as the (SME) in the CMMS, SAP/EAM master data to ensure health of the asset throughout the lifecycle. Examples of input include onboarding equipment, uploading maintenance plans, task lists and key calibration parameters master data.·        Ability to serve as the (SME) for all BMS/EMS systems. Example: Siemens, Rees Scientific, Viewpoint·        Work closely with maintenance mechanics assisting in complex equipment breakdowns and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)·        Inspects all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.·        Perform Engineering drawing reviews and approvals·        Responsible for electrical system health (IR Scan, Arc Flash, Electrical Maintenance)·        Ability to serve as the (SME) for drawing management and sustainability of program·        Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.·        Provide reports and presentations on proposed projects and policies. Perform other duties as assigned.·        Lead continuous improvement and sustaining efforts for products and processes in support of cost and performance objectivesQualifications·        Graduate of a four-year degree program or technical schooling in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or HVAC/Controls.·        Understanding of a risk-based approach to Commissioning, Qualification and Validation (CQV) of Facilities, Utilities and Equipment (FUE) in a medical device and/or drug GMP environment Experience working cross-functionally to develop technical requirements·        Experience in clean rooms, RODI, HVAC and other systems used to support a regulated manufacturing environment·        Experience creating master validation plans, protocols, and reports·        Experience with Siemens building automated programs such as Insight or Desigo.·        Must be well-versed with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Must be able to read construction drawings and blueprints·        Strong understanding of the entire design, construction, and contracting processes·        Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam·        Familiar with CMMS, example: SAP/EAM, Maximo,·        Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills·        Strong oral and written communication skills·        Highly organized and detailed-oriented, with superior data analysis/synthesis skills, both quantitative and qualitative·        Good design, research, writing and verbal communication skills.Experience/Education·        8+ years Equipment/Facilities Engineering experience, with design and/or maintenance focus·        8+years maintaining HVAC and VFD systems·        Ideal candidate will have professional knowledge with Siemens BMS Desigo CC·        Typically Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or technical schooling; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent work experience.·        Ideal candidate will hold a professional engineering P.E. license in mechanical or electrical facetsAll listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.#LI-ONSITEThe estimated base salary range for the Staff Facilities Engineer role based in the United States of America is: $119,500 - $179,300. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
