Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.The Senior Manager, Commercialization Program Management is a leader within the Commercialization Operation Team of Illumina Laboratory Services (ILS). For this position, we are looking for a candidate to help build and drive the execution of commercial launch readiness for clinical services offered by ILS. This leader plays a key role in overseeing the commercialization and portfolio management of ILS service offering of research only test as well as laboratory developed test (LDT). The commercialization process covers best practice activities and checkpoints for delivering ILS service portfolio from new service introductions to on-market releases. This role engages with cross-functional business and development leaders at both the global and regional level to define best-practices that foster collaboration and successful execution. This role is an exciting opportunity to develop commercial processes and deliver world class service offerings to Illumina customers.Illumina Laboratory Services (ILS) is Illumina in-house CLIA CAP accredited and ISO certified laboratory. ILS exists to accelerate the impact of genomics in human health by developing and running end to end assays, partnering with KOLs and customers to show market and/or clinical utility, and bridging the market to commercialization. Our team is driven to deliver high quality, cost-effective test results based on emerging Illumina markets and facilitate market adoption of Illumina technologies in oncology, reproductive health, and genetic disease testing.Responsibilities:Develop the commercialization program for ILS including commercial readiness requirements, processes to ensure successful knowledge transfer to ILS Support team and corporate partners, as well as identifying and developing necessary tools.Provides management and leadership skills and drives execution on program goals.Key member of ILS development core teams, responsible for the successful roll out of the commercial readiness plan for new or improved services.Lead the commercial excellence committee for phase exit review during ILS PDP (product development process for Services).Point-person between a team of PM’s supporting projects and various functional areas of ILS and Illumina corporate.Provide updates to commercial leadership and other stakeholders on program status and to ensure execution supports business objectives. Characterize commercial needs, facilitate trade-off decisions. interact with regional leaders and senior management on matters concerning commercialization.Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.Subject matter expert for technical aspects of ILS services.Interprets internal/external business and regulatory challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.Anticipates internal/external business and regulatory issues.Partner with Marketing, Product Development, Global Information Services and Operations to collaborate cross functionally to resolve issues and implement improvements to commercial capabilities, business processes and systems.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, medical or related field is required. PMP Certification desirable.MBA or advanced degree a plus. 7+ years of professional experience leading or supporting clinical or IVD product introductions and on-market product releases.Understand best-in-class go-to-customer and software commercialization processes.Experience with program management and associated methodologies, project management tools (e.g. Atlassian Confluence, Jira); PMP certification is a plusRecord of leading cross-functional teams and ability to partner across business and development areas to deliver business results. Proven ability to build relationships based on trust and confidence with key stakeholders.Typically has in-depth knowledge of genetic sequencing principles or sequencing devices.Strong written and verbal communicator, including presentation skills; ability to position initiatives, decisions, and outcomes to diverse audiences at all levels of the organization.Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.All listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.The estimated base salary range for the Sr. Manager, Commercialization Program Management role based in the United States of America is: $149,600 - $224,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
