Our products are used for applications in the life sciences, oncology, reproductive health, agriculture and other emerging segments.  The roleThe Senior Staff Oncology Segment Marketing Manager, will be responsible for developing market opportunities in the oncology space. The main tasks include assessment of the market dynamics, understanding customer requirements, and establishing relationships with stakeholders (KOLs, clinics, private labs, academic hospitals, international and national scientific societies, and internal Illumina resources) to establish and implement a go-to-market strategy for the Company oncology portfolio in the EU region. It is important having technical competences to talk the same languages as sales team and customer target. The role also involves working with the European and Global marketing communication team to establish compelling messaging and positioning for Illumina products and services in these markets, create awareness, generate demand, and enable the sales team through guidance, tools and training. Deep cross functional collaboration with Scientific Affair, Medical Affair and Market access, Government affair and PR is also required. He/she will work closely with the regional marketing manager to collect specific needs. Main Responsibilities: Primary regional point of contact for utilization of Illumina technologies in Oncology, facilitating inbound and outbound communication, and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders. Solicit and consolidate input from customers and field staff within the region to provide in-depth market analysis and insight regarding customer and market needs, issues and opportunities. ·Develop a set of sales enablement tools and assist sales teams by providing guidance for product messaging and positioning and identifying target customers. Assess training needs and coordinate training opportunities across the region. Own regional strategic plan and its execution of Oncology RUO and translational portfolio key market focus, product launches, and to plan and execute other marketing communications, events and promotional activities. Execute regionally on partnerships and co-marketing agreement in the Oncology field.Provide market information and analysis to the EU directors/managers and Global Product Managers on a regular basis (monthly and/or quarterly). Proactively identify and enhance opportunities to improve customer satisfaction with Illumina’s products through sound technical, product and application knowledge. Influence product development with VOC, VOF and voice of KOLCoordinate local collaborations and proof-of-principle studies to generate proof statements and customer advocates for our technologies.   Skills and Experience: University/College Degree or equivalent in a life scientific discipline. PhD preferred.
