In this role, you will:Play a critical role in helping launch new world-class DNA sequencing instruments into production...Collaborate deeply with the product development firmware team throughout the new product development cycle from investigation to first customer ship (FCS)...Identify, analyze, and resolve firmware issues encountered in manufacturing by various LCM subsystem teams during the development phase and in sustaining...Partner with the LCM Software team and vendors to deploy updated firmware and provide ongoing support...Create a firmware release strategy and methodology for manufacturing during development and sustaining...Responsibilities: Lead HW/FW/SW interface design for test systems. Review FW/HW designs and implementations to ensure smooth rollout and that debug capabilities are in placeCreate and execute SW/FW test protocol and test scripts that can be reused and leveraged forwardImplement SW for test systems (Subsystem level and system level) via the SW development life cycle. Work with SW/LCM/R&D departments to ensure FW and SW test coverage are adequate with minimum test escapePerform diagnostics and troubleshooting of SW/FW/HW test system and recommend product design improvements as neededWork with SW/R&D department to develop SW/FW test system to ensure product quality and improve manufacturing efficiencies, including assembly and quality testing at vendor sites worldwideHelp define what manufacturing test process is needed based on market requirements and product definitionDevelop manufacturing test requirement specification. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.The estimated base salary range for the Sr Staff, Firmware Engineer role based in the United States of America is: $136,100 - $204,100. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
