Your tomorrow looks bright at Ubiquity.Your Role:Legal and Compliance Specialist shall be responsible in ensuring that the company adheres to rules and regulations relevant to its business by reviewing local laws and relevant policies from time to time. The role requires conduct of audits in areas of legal, accounting, human resources, finance, and administrative matters to ensure that the permits, licenses, and other corporate documents of the company are up to date. The Legal and Compliance Specialist shall also deal with regulatory bodies, such as but not limited to, PEZA, BOI, BIR, DOLE, SSS, and local government units (LGUs).Legal and Compliance Specialist performs several tasks, namely:• analyzes potential risks within specific areas of a company to avoid risk and compliance issues.• performs both external and internal audits as necessary. This will include reviewing records, reports, and any other relevant programs and activities affected by rules and regulations in place.• Conducts regular site audits and inspection to ensure that the company adheres to relevant regulations and health standards;• keeps track of any violations reported against the company and maps out plans to address these violations;• assists in preparing the necessary documents to be submitted to local government units, other regulatory agencies, such as PEZA, BOI, SEC, BIR, SSS, local government units among others;• reviews and updates, as needed, the existing compliance records to ensure that they remain relevant and up to date; and• assists the company’s legal counsel in labor related concerns, such as drafting letters and position papers and monitors the existing as well as potential labor cases against the company.Qualifications:• Relevant experience in dealing with government agencies and regulatory bodies. Knowledge of relevant local laws and rules and regulations which may affect the company operations is an advantage;• Relevant experience in dealing with PEZA or BOI is an advantage;• Trustworthy, a person of integrity, and can handle sensitive data and information with confidentiality;• Experience in compliance/risk management work is an advantage;• Willing to work in Bacolod city and is amenable to shifting schedules, and willing to travel when necessary.What we do.Recognized as the #1 CX provider for disruptors and innovators across financial services, healthcare, and e-commerce, Ubiquity was founded on the belief that our clients and their customers deserve better.
