We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours! The Chief Accounting Officer’s Operations leader (CAO Ops Lead) position is a critical and trusted leadership role as the strategic right-hand person to the CAO. You will help drive strategic business planning, support organization wide communications, and help drive organization wide initiatives while building and maintaining key relationships across the Finance, Adobe and key external stakeholders. WHAT YOU’LL DO•    Serve as a trusted advisor and brainstorming partner to the Chief Accounting Officer and their leadership team.•    Assume and/or delegate high-level initiatives amongst various functions within the CAO organization. •    Represent and act as a proxy for the CAO at Steer Co and Ops meetings.•    Help initiate and lead strategic change throughout the organization.•    Establish, manage, and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly strategic priorities, operational goals and multi-year strategic goals.•    Facilitate workflows advancing them to successful completion to streamline efficiency and communication within the org and beyond.•    Think strategically, while also providing tactical support to implement ideas to drive efficiencies, effectiveness and increase customer service•    Proactively address pressing business issues that need immediate attention.•    Partner with Chief Accounting Officer to identify opportunity to develop individuals and teams to achieve their full potential, finding skills gaps, potential rotations and areas of opportunities and help develop a plan to address them.•    Provide independent, informed, unbiased insight including on the ground feedback. •    Communicate successfully with all levels of Adobe, from E-Team through entry level staff.•    Represent the CAO and the organization in a consistently professional manner while exhibiting the best of Adobe’s values. •    Act as ‘Air traffic controller’ for the CAO. You will help manage daily CAO operations (see next bullet), organizational changes and assist in communicating strategy and decision-making.•    Oversee operations and perform work from definition and planning to execution (but not limited to):o    Meetings’ agenda-settingo    Manage and enable the execution of the CAO’s regular activities including all hands, direct staff’s check-in sessions, planning sessions, staff meetings, leadership and team eventso    Strategic communications and event strategy linking the leadership team and various functions within the CAO org, broader finance org and cross-functional partners.o    Ensure appropriate matters are considered for discussion with CFO staff, our auditors and the Audit Committeeo    Develop annual budget planning process, including participation in monthly budget reviews with FP&A support staff and providing recommendations to the CAO on staffing and expenditure approval requestso    Org Cost centres set up and maintenanceo    Leadership business travel and related event coordination *Key Responsibilities: *•    Work with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress on corporate goals and metrics aligned with CAO organization.•    Implement the appropriate tools and measurement systems to drive the adoption of strategy.•    Build connections across all leadership of the organization.•    Support CAO in the preparation of board, executive committees, all hands and various presentations.•    Collaborate with the CAO leadership team, CFO leadership and cross functional partners to track, analyse and report performance per SLAs, KPIs, project goals, and change initiatives, as needed.•    Analyze and report performance based on strategies and business goals and recommend areas needing improvement.•    Proactively escalate and resolve potential issues by calling them to the attention of the CAO and identifying potential solutions.•    Continue to enhance transparency on performance and progress. What you need to succeed12+ years working with Finance teams managing projects and staff.Broad finance and business experience driving execution and adoption of key strategic programs across large teams.A track record in leading and delivering complex large-scale projects and partnerships, often managing a range of internal and external stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal verbal, written and presentation communication skills.Proven ability to develop and lead the implementation of communications strategy, policy and operational plans, to a successful outcome, across a medium or large organization.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with an ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and projects with minimal direction, and problem-solving skills with a focus on structure and execution. You have a history of finding new insights, accepting new challenges, leading with empathy and “can do” positive attitude. Skilled at people management, with a dedication to excellence and mentorshipAbility to lead strong personalities and drive open items to effective resolution. Ability to adapt and operate in a fast-paced and evolving environment and lead through ambiguity. Ability to work independently and integrate within a teamAbility to think and act creatively, championing and promoting new ideas that contribute to the goals of the Chief Accounting Officer. Proven Ability to work in a flexible manner in line with the organization’s objectives and willingness to undertake other duties as reasonably requested.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $119,400 -- $267,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
