We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.RESPONSIBILITIES:Transform ideas into valuable, usable software experiencesConduct formal and informal user research and testing of in-progress work, and assist in implementation of user-based testing to provide optimization of existing application; produce professional research reportsCreate UX deliverables including user personas, site maps, concept maps, process flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and UI designs that effectively communicate the product architecture, layout and functionality to team membersApply established UI patterns to prototypes and mockups to ensure consistency across products, and influence the creation of new UI patternsEngage with content writers to preserve the integrity of UI content and help documentationEffectively collaborate with product managers, researchers, project team members and other stakeholders to understand product vision and customer needs while validating designs through testing and customer feedbackDeliver effective presentations of ideas and concepts to small project teamsDeliver appropriate design deliverables and participate in Development and QA efforts to ensure designs are developed as specified.Create and meet quarterly project goals and deadlines REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Information Architecture, HCI or related field plus 8+ years of professional experience in UX Design, or a comparable amount of work experience.Strong foundation in Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping and wireframing software (such as Axure and Sketch)Solid understanding of information architecture tools and techniques, including site maps, concept maps and process flowsStrong foundation in usability best practicesAbility to understand and inspect HTML, CSS and JavaScript for design acceptance and troubleshootingStrong attention to detail, with an aesthetic sensibility that requires minimal art directionHighly professional written and verbal communication skills.  Proven observational and listening skills; ability to recognize user experience needs and convert into product designAbility to collaborate well with teammates in multiple roles and occasionally lead small projectsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:Visual designMulti-device designKnowledge of the software development lifecycle, including agileContent management experienceExperience with user researchKnowledge of accessibility best practicesFront-end development (HTML & CSS) Health & WellnessHybrid & Remote Work Opportunities                                                                  Flexible Time OffCareer Development & Mentoring ProgramsGenerous Retirement Benefit Plans, including a company-matching HSA program.Health & Wellness Benefits, including a 12-weeks of parental leave for eligible new parentsCommunity Volunteering & Company Philanthropy ProgramsEmployee Peer Recognition Programs – “You Earned it”How We Give Back to the Community:You can learn more about our Q2 Spark Program, Q2 Philanthropy fund, and our employee volunteering programs on our Q2 Community page.
