In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of field sales for Civilian Agencies, Intelligence, as well as DoD and all of State, Local Government and education. You will lead a team of experienced regional sales directors for both SLED and Federal. You will provide leadership and support to execute on revenue goals in their territory. Additional responsibilities include:Lead a team of dedicated Regional Sales DirectorsResponsible for employee development to create our next generation leaders.Develop strategic plans with tactical execution to gain wallet share from existing customers and market share from the competition.Establish and maintain key customer and channel relationshipsDevelop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer baseExecute on a partner plan to drive incremental revenue through the channelPartner with Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Marketing, and Support to close deals, drive revenue and adoptionJob RequirementsExperience successfully leading high performing field sales teams focused on United States Federal government and State, Local Government and Education accountsExperience selling cyber-security solutions, ideally in an organization with a global presenceExtensive leadership experience and acumen is a must, with 2nd and/or 3rd line background preferred Strong business acumen with the ability to create a business plan, build a strong business pipeline, accurately forecast and close businessExperience working with cross functional teams including channel, alliances, marketing, sales engineering and professional servicesCan be based in any large Metro area of the USWhy ProofpointProtecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.
