We’re looking for someone who is equal parts left and right brain — able to find the storyline in the spreadsheet, translate complex jargon into human terms, and visualize innovative, audience-centric ways to present insights that help ad pros make smart decisions.   You will join an energetic editorial team and leverage insights from The Trade Desk Intelligence to craft reports about trends on the open internet, including streaming TV, retail media, audio, digital publishing, and first-party data. The ideal candidate has impeccable writing and editing skills, including a conversational and authoritative narrative voice. You will also play a pivotal role in creating and managing a strategic global white paper process. Project management experience is a plus. Additional duties: Write and edit long-form, lead-gen reports and white papers. Cultivate a roster of freelance writers and SMEs to help write reports.  Own The Trade Desk’s data storytelling strategy, working with various content stakeholders to develop new formats for data and insights. Support the growth of The Trade Desk Intelligence, our newly rebranded research arm.  Collaborate with internal and external survey experts to craft report headlines and narratives.  Work with our creative team to design reports that ad pros really want to read.    Who you are: A writer and editor, first and foremost, with a background in marketing, journalism, copywriting, or branded content. A data pro who can mine research for provocative story ideas. A stickler for accuracy who ensures nothing gets lost in translation.  Someone who thrives in the role of an individual contributor, owning the strategy, process, writing, and editing of our reports.  Comfortable with taking an iterative, crawl-walk-run approach to progress. A team player who can balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.  #LI-LM2Our Compensation and Benefits ( for NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only)At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.  The base salary range for this role is $83,000 -$152,100In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.  The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.  All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions.  Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
