Come to HP and thrive!In this role, you will work with team leads, data engineers and developers to build and optimize data products and cloud services.You’ll get to work in a cloud and data development group that works across HP, Inc with printing devices and manufacturing processes.  This group supports agile methods and continuous integration/deployment.  We work together as a supportive team and support your career development.  HP, Inc has an exciting 10-year plan that will have a big impact on the industry and world.  If this sounds exciting and fun to you, please apply! ResponsibilitiesAcquire datasets that align with business needsDevelop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable informationBuild, test, and maintain database pipeline architecturesCollaborate with management to understand company objectivesCreate new data validation methods and data analysis toolsEnsure compliance with data governance and security policiesCollaborate with/across data engineering teams on designs and implementation details for distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystemComplex problem solvingKeep a pulse on the industry and the enterprise. Research, evaluate and use new technologies/tools/frameworks centred around high-volume data processing. Continually innovate to address both current and future customer needsDefine, design, and build utilities, user defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to better enable data flow patternsCreate strategies for building or improvement of continuous integration, test-driven development, and production deployment frameworksQualifications required:  BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalentExperience working with Spark and related processing frameworksExperience with messaging/streaming/complex event processing tooling and frameworks with an emphasis on Spark StreamingExperience with data warehousing concepts, SQL and SQL Analytical functions and working on solutions such as TeradataExperience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache AirflowExperience with source code control tools ie- GithubExperience with performance and scalability tuningExperience with build tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation and automation tools such as Jenkins a plusExperience with practices like Continuous Development, Continuous Integration and Automated Testing a plusAbility to influence and communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with team members and technical and business partnersRapidly learning new technologies and developing and implementing proof of concepts and practical, working code is your happy placeComputer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, complexity analysis, problem solving and diagnosisKnowledge of professional SW engineering practices and SW development lifecyclesDesired Skills:  Experience with SpringBoot and DataBricksOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $89,200.00 -- $120,000.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
