Now one company, we are stronger together, innovating for customers & partners to support them on their once-in-a-generation quest to redefine the way work gets done.A full time remote working position has arisen in Ireland for a Staff Platform Engineer to help create the next generation of Video conferencing solutions which is really exciting.Responsibilities for the Staff Platform EngineerCreate innovative new features for our Next Generation video endpoints and conferencing solutions.Design and build unique capabilities to expand our Android platform.Work in a very collaborative and agile team to build cool solutions.Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and developmentReviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure riskProvides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activitiesDrives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organizationProvides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff membersKnowledge & Skills required for the Staff Platform EngineerHands on experience in building platforms using Terraform, Ansible or other tools. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Robot Framework, Selenium, Selendroid, Appium, Cucumber, etc.Experience in testing in Unix/Linux environments or Android/iOS mobileExperience with RESTful API or other related API testing and toolsExperience building CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins a plusKnowledge of networking, IP, firewalls, DNS or H.323 protocolsScope & ImpactImpact of decisions can often alter product timelines by multiple quartersImpacts efficiencies and delivery times across all software teams, takes responsibility for the quality of deliveriesProactively and effectively interacts and partners across different departments within and outside the software engineering functionEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence.
