Services Product Manager for APJ regionDescription -Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function. (TCP review board required in TCP families)Responsibilities: Leverages insights knowledge to assess current portfolio and processes - identify gaps and opportunities in the focused region in deep collaboration with local category and sales teamsDevelops a 4P plan for new service and new capability introduction - identifies near-term and long-term initiatives and opportunitiesOwns the P&L for the portfolio of services in APJ regionWorks across geographies in APJ and WW teams to develop and/or implement new/enhanced services, solutions (NSI), or programs and associated processes to meet customer/market needs and fuel profitable growthWorks closely with delivery teams to ensure optimal service execution and customer satisfaction Develops mechanism to track ongoing progress and areas where help is neededUtilizes in-depth understanding of customer business and complex requirements to develop business case, validate the solution, and demonstrate services added valueUtilizes technical and business skills to lead complex cross-functional activities that drive continuous growth of the services businessEffectively communicate plans at all levels of the organization, especially in focused APJ regionThe ideal candidate will have the following skills. Strong focus on customer and market insights. Business results orientation. Knowledge of and experience with the 4P’s. Experience with identifying a product or capability opportunity and taking it from concept to launch. Ability to collaborate across complex organizations. Self-starter with a focus on innovation and growth. Data-driven decision-making skillsEducation and experience required. +10 years to demonstrate experience in services business development or product management. Established background as a high performing individual. Experience in one of the related disciplines of delivery, solution architecting or business planningKnowledge and skills. Medium to high knowledge of IT and services industry. In-depth knowledge of HP organization and policies, HP services offerings, end to end processes, tools, and RTMs. Problem detection and analysis of root cause. Proven ability to lead teams to achieve results, exercise independent judgment and handle unique situations to accomplish goals in tight time frames. Demonstrated skills in planning and financial analysis. Medium level of planning, project management and change management skills. Project and change management training and certification as appropriate.. Good presentation skills.
