Category Product ManagerDescription -Category Product Management Subject Matter Expert in Large Format Design business for North America and Latin America. Provides strong product management leadership to balance market share and profit and sound understanding of customer needs, the market and competition.Manage product management processes to ensure smooth implementation of product launches and ongoing management.Responsibilities: Ensure effective portfolio management - with strong focus on product and pricing, based on market, customer and competitor knowledgeManagement of market share position in relevant categoriesManage the balance between market share and profitabilityProduct line and quota responsibility for a significant share of the product range, or a specific customer segment.Lead New Product Introductions from category point of view, partnering closely with sales, the Business Unit and MarketingActively contribute to the definition of the category business plan.Establish relationships and represent team with sales force and other partners at senior level.Education and Experience Required: University or Bachelors degreeTypically more than 5 years of professional experience with a combination of Product Marketing, Sales, or Business Planning experienced preferred.Knowledge and Skills: Deep understanding of product management, business management and sales challenges and strategiesIT industry knowledge preferredBusiness planning skillsFinancial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting.Strong excel sand numerical skills preferredStrong communication skills at senior management internally and externally.Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices, messagingNegotiation skillsAbility to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners.Leadership skills and cross functional expertise (sales, supply chain, marketing)Per the California statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in San Diego, at the time of this posting, is $126,750 - $195,150.
