Flextronics PS Consumer and Commercial Defective Material Analyst InternDescription -This position is part of CS EMEA Supply Chain Operations team and for PS (Personal Systems) covering commercial desktop and consumer operations with strategic partner Flex. Defective material analyst owns end 2 end process for all defective material returned to OSSP (Outsourced service Partner).Analyst is accountable to drive strategy which defective material should be returned for further disposition and manage associated warranty nonrecovery costs. This position is also in charge of defective budget composition and its follow-up analyzing all trends of WNR (warranty non-recovery) cost per various patterns like billing reason, commodity, etc.Defective material analyst is control tower for complete defectives spare parts flow and decision maker which commodities will be collected from customers and how will be handled with them.Job specifics/responsibilities/accountabilities and deliverablesBusiness Analysis:Business analysis for all defectives material sent to OSSPMonitor key operational parameters driving material optimizationDefine, implement and monitor corrective actions to reduce costsDefectives flow monitoring Finance:Understand and make analysis of cost buckets (NFF, repair, credit, scrap)Month-end closure– monitoring of volumes and spend WNRCost predictability based on WNR trendsInvoicing mgt – control of correct flow of invoicesBudget closure and forecast Key Metrics:Cost: WNR, DMR, scrap rates, e2e TATFinance: interventions, acknowledged volumes, return ratesMaterial: mix, excess, yield, wty ratePartner Management:Regular metrics follow-upSupport business partner mgt/business account managerOSSP point of contact if any issue with return to vendor processEducation (degree) and professional experience required:Currently studying Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials/engineering/logistics preferredAvailability to establish an internship agreement with University for 9-12 months either on a part-time or full-time basis.Other requirements:Excellent analytical skills (advanced Microsoft Excel)Excellent presentation skills (advanced Microsoft PowerPoint)Attention to detailsFluent written and spoken English Capability to work with external partners – cooperation, negotiationExperience in a multifunctional environmentPersonal skills and qualities:Excellent Communication skillsLeadership - Ability to communicate skillfully and get results through others, to think strategically, promote creative thinking and implement initiatives.Independence and ability to work in a team.
