Director of HP AviationDescription -HP’s Director of Aviation leads every facet of the aviation organization.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational success, strategic alignment and integration of activities in support of designated HP Executive travel, working closely with the Office of the CEO and HP Executive Security.  This includes the Asset Management (both mechanical and regulatory), Flight Scheduling, Training and Safety procedures, all FAA and analogous International fight standards, personnel development and management and safe operational execution of all trips.  In addition, the candidate will influence strategy and sets policy and direction while maintaining all owned reporting and measurable functional, operational and strategic goals or priorities and assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans in a defined area of responsibility.Responsibilities: Oversees the global aviation department, ensuring that HP's domestic and international air transportation needs are met within the defined budget.Manages other managers and supervisors; makes hiring decisions, manages performance, and sets overall initiatives and performance metrics.Leads strategic planning efforts for the aviation department, including staffing model, budgeting, and resource allocation, and ensures that long-term plans are aligned with HP's business objectives.Represents the company externally in regards to aviation (e.g., lobbying meetings and other government related needs).Monitors operating policies to ensure alignment with FARs, IS-BAO, and associated HP guidelines.Consults with senior management across HP regarding air transportation needs.Advises highly complex and high value aviation-related external contracting.Recommends transportation solutions to top HP executives (C-level); drives the execution of solutions department-wide.Leads the design of aviation training programs that ensure the safety and effectiveness of HP's air transportation offering (e.g., safety programs, international operations).Education and Experience Required: First-level university degree highly preferred.15+ years of experience, with time spent managing a corporation's international air transportation solution highly preferred.Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, and Associated Type Rating is required.Airframe and Power Plant Certificate preferred or have and completed equivalent level of manufacturer training on assigned aircraft.Extensive flight experience in turbine aircraft required.International flight experience required.Knowledge and Skills: Advanced proficiency in all aspects related to aviation operations (e.g., scheduling and dispatch, maintenance, and regulations).Superior people management skills.Superior communication skills, for C-level audiences.Excellent business acumen.Excellent finance and budgeting skills.Demonstrated ability to meet basic skill requirements for an ATP rating.Job -Corporate AdministrationSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -100%Relocation -Not SpecifiedEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
