Product Engineer (L10/Box Build Assembly)Description -Job DescriptionWhat an Product Engineer (L10/Box Build Assembly) does at HP:Supervise and manage all Operational Engineering activities from SMT to Final Assembly pertaining to ODM factories.Responsible for new factory or factory transition onboarding and setup.Review Manufacturing Processes Development & Implementation in support of Operational Excellence.Provides technical support to ODM manufacturing and repair to support continuous process improvement. Perform risk assessment and communicate and mitigate operational risk.Responsible for ODM factory quality performance (yield rate and End-of-line outgoing quality audit) and support on production UPH/optimised capacity. Feedback to related partners for issue warnings and verify the solution is workable for the factory.Drive a shift left approach as a means to optimise field performance. Conduct weekly quality reviews with ODM suppliers as an essential component of our commitment to maintaining excellence in all aspects of the operations.Periodic audit in ODM suppliers (Process audit and QSA) and drive gaps closure in ODM factories.Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical or Computer Engineering. Excellent written and Fluent English and local Thailand language.Experienced in L10 Integration is highly preferred.Candidates are required to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in SMT process, Mechanical Assembly process, Test, and Industrial Engineering. Candidates shall have good knowledge of PC Product Engineering.Candidates possess a proficient level of expertise in Design for Excellence (DFx) techniques.Familiar with Personal Computer or Computer Hardware production process and able to do first-level issue triage on factory quality issues.
