Software Developer/AnalystDescription -The "SW Developer/Analyst" is an individual with both an IT and a business background. The primary responsibility is to deliver global software solutions with a secondary responsibility to understand and interpret requirements from the business. SW Developer/Analyst job responsibilities include:Quickly analyze requirements and translate into business object models and business rules that can be implemented in Pricing and Financial Analysis toolWork independently and demonstrate end-to-end task ownership in a small-team environmentSkillfully implement business objects and business rules in the Pricing and Financial Analysis tool using a custom object modeling and scripting languageCarefully assess and diagnose impact of new business objects and new business rules on system usability and system performanceWork closely with IT to define and implement system data models required to support business objects and business rulesTroubleshoot complex production support issuesCoordinate release of new business objects and new business rules with formal IT system releasesHelp guide and actively participate in testing of new business objects and new business rulesMaintain/create Oracle tables and PL/SQL procedures using Oracle SQL Developer or similarMaintain/create Excel VBA codeQualifications/Skills:Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar required and 8-10 years applicable experience OR demonstrable equivalent experienceDatabase knowledge, data analysis, SQL language, Oracle PL/SQL preferredExcel VBA, some C# experience beneficialFamiliarity with REST APIs, JSON, XML, Postman or similar toolsProficient in business mathematics (pricing, from simple to complex calculations, must be able to create mathematic models to address the requirements)Ability to discuss multiple topics with IT counterparts, such as solution architecture, DB, and codingAbility to discuss requirements and solutions with business counterparts who have no IT knowledgeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsJob -SoftwareSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Costa Rica)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
