You will provide critical support to an agile technical team, facilitating the rapid rollout of our technology offerings, and you will measure your success through the sustained pace and stateful rigor your attention to detail brings to the overall program. In collaboration with HP’s developer community you are a key member of the team focused on world-wide software development practices, maintaining HP’s legacy of quality while helping drive ever more competitive end-customer solutions to market at an industry-leading pace.The Program Manager candidate we are seeking is ready to apply a mature set of enterprise-honed program-management skills to our strategic initiative, to resolve complex logistical issues within our program’s established guidelines and to comprehensibly describe and recommend appropriate alternatives based on your experience and thoughtful analysis. Sought candidates are hungry to tackle enterprise-scale program-management challenges of diverse complexity and scope involving a diverse software engineering community. Top candidates will have experience in an enterprise context, supporting software-development programs involving diverse technical requirements, will have shown prior savvy as an independent leader of successful strategic programs, and will be comfortable defining and instantiating team and organization-level processes in order to address emerging needs.As a Program Manager you will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines, and you will recommend appropriate alternatives. You will work on problems of diverse complexity and scope. You may often act as a team lead providing direction to team activities, report overall status to executive leadership, and facilitate team decision making. You will exercise independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.Responsibilities: Manages and provides coordinating leadership for a developer-technologies program involving multiple functions and partner teams to drive the successful rollout of enterprise-wide developer experience offerings.Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, license-entitlement allocation plan, and other support requirements for the assigned program.Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; partners with external vendor product teams with regard to product features and roadmaps; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedulesDrives innovation and integration of new technologies, validation and quality initiatives into projects and activities across the software community.Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.PMP/PMI certification preferred.Typically 6-10 years experience.Knowledge and Skills: Extensive experience with using project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.Extensive experience with enterprise technologies in the context of software-development tools and developer experienceExcellent analytical and problem solving skills.Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local languageAbility to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurance Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $116,900.00 -- $180,00.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
