As a consultative sales professional, the AE is responsible for driving revenue growth by bringing in net new business from Public Sector prospects. AE’s help solve the business needs of prospects so they can realise Experience as a Service®, our vision for empathetic customer experiences at scale. AE’s own all opportunities and are responsible for coordinating resources and managing the sales campaign across the entire opportunity cycle.The Senior AE’s role is to close net new business by selling Genesys Cloud, Digital and AI technologies either directly or via a partner. Leveraging leads provided by Marketing, handling all different kinds of sales scenarios, and ultimately closing opportunities. The AE’s main goal is to achieve their sales bookings target by closing opportunities in predictable manner, whilst aligning to the Genesys Way of Selling methodology within Salesforce.Working with additional resources, such as Technical Pre-Sales, Business Unit and Professional Services to help you progress and close the deal.Key Responsibilities:The primary responsibility for this role is to grow a Net New pipeline of opportunities by: -• Identify customer needs and effectively understand and respond to customer objections.• Connect prospect’s business objectives with Genesys offerings and solutions.• Manage the opportunity via MEDDIC and negotiate and close in a predictable manner.• Provide expertise around particular areas of interest to discuss industry best practices and development of high-level strategies.• Expand footprint through cross & up-sell opportunities.• Be proactive in all aspects of opportunity development.• Build and expand relationships with Economic Buyer in prospect accounts.• Establish yourself as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ to the prospect.• Bring net new and innovative ideas to both the internal team (Sales Development Representative SDR) and the prospect.• Assist in creating an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.• Demonstrate a commitment to excellence (i.e. strong business acumen).• Partner with sales and additional pre-sales engagement members to align goals and ensure ongoing refinement.Minimum Requirements:• Proven experience (7+) in selling cloud solutions (SaaS) to a diverse predominantly Public Sector customer base, demonstrating an efficient and tenacious approach to get to the root of customer expectations and needs.• Managing a complex and consultative sales environment utilising MEDDIC for opportunity qualification.• Experience in UKI Public Sector such as Local Government, Social Housing, Health/NHS, Not-for-Profit/Charities or Transport.Superior communication and active listening skills.• Excellent objection handling, persuasive and negotiating abilities.• Strong collaboration skills, ability to work with multiple team members and internal stakeholders management.• Strong time-management and organisation skills.• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of work simultaneously.• Proven record of meeting/exceeding established goals.• Ability to communicate with all levels within the prospect’s organisation and to Genesys management as required• Respect and follow the One Genesys Values to deliver Experience as a Service, Embrace Empathy, Fly in Formation and Go Big About Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
