As a consultative sales professional, the AE is responsible for driving revenue growth and bringing in net new business from prospects. AEs help solve the business needs of prospects so they can realise Experience as a Service®, our vision for empathetic customer experiences at scale. AEs own all opportunities and are responsible for coordinating resources and managing the sales campaign across the entire opportunity cycle.Your role as Public Sector AE is to close net new business selling Genesys Cloud, Digital and AI technologies either directly or via a partner. You are responsible for all opportunities, and this requires the management of both pre-and post-sales support resources throughout sales campaigns and reports to the Public Sector Sales Director.The AE fulfils a vital role in leveraging leads provided by Marketing, handling all different kinds of sales scenarios, and ultimately closing opportunities. The AE’s main goal is to achieve their sales bookings target by closing opportunities in predictable manner, whilst aligning to the Genesys Way of Selling methodology within Salesforce.Once an opportunity has been closed, the AE’s job is to help manage the initial phases of post-sales support and ensure implementation is set up accordingly. This is achieved through the support of additional resources - such as Technical Pre-Sales Support, Business Unit and Professional Services – whose goal is to help you close the deal.Key Responsibilities:The primary responsibility for this role is to grow a Net New pipeline of opportunities by: -• Identify customer needs and effectively understand and respond to customer objections• Connect client’s business objectives with Genesys offerings and solutions• Negotiate and close in a predictable manner• Provide expertise around particular areas of interest to discuss industry best practices and development of high-level strategies• Expand footprint through cross & up-sell opportunities• Be proactive in all aspects of opportunity development• Build and expand relationships with Economic Buyer in prospect and customer accounts• Establish yourself as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ to the prospect or customer• Bring net new and innovative ideas to both the internal team (Sales Development Representative SDR) and the prospect.• Assist in creating an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement• Demonstrate a commitment to excellence (i.e. strong business acumen)• Partner with sales and additional pre-sales engagement members to align goals and ensure ongoing refinementMinimum Requirements:• Track record of success in selling cloud and digital product• Experience in selling customer engagement solutions (CCaaS/SaaS) to a diverse customer base will be a plus• Managing a complex and consultative sales environment utilising MEDDIC for opportunity• Experience in Public Sector such as Local Government, Housing, Health, Not-for-Profit organisations• Superior communication and active listening skills• Excellent objection handling, persuasive and negotiating abilities• Strong collaboration skills, ability to work with multiple team members and management of internal stakeholders• Strong time-management and organisation skills• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of work simultaneously• Proven record of meeting/exceeding established goals• Ability to communicate with all levels within the prospect’s organisation• Ability to communicate and present to Genesys management as required• Respect and follow the One Genesys Values to deliver Experience as a Service, Embrace Empathy, Fly in Formation and Go Big#LI-FL1#LI-RemoteAbout Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
