We need hardworking and creative people to help us dive into more of these rare opportunities in Autonomous Driving.We are looking for an adept Applications Engineer with the ability to prioritize customer software/hardware issues, resolve customer problems, and maintain good customer relation. This is a highly technical engineering support role that is responsible for providing outstanding support to NVIDIA's consumer customers. The Desktop Applications Engineer is someone who has superb interpersonal skills, to understand, explain, and problem solves for customers and engineers. We are seeking a motivated individual who brings independent analysis, communication, and analytical skills.What you'll be doing:Perform hardware design reviews including schematic and SI reviews to ensure customer designs meet NVIDIA guidelinesConduct the installation, configuration and bring-up of customer hardwareWork directly with our NVIDIA customers, and analyze data to answer questions, reproduce errors, resolve same, or escalate customer issuesBe involved in customer interactions and communications via conference calls, or face to face meetingsFamiliarize yourself with performing hardware debug using oscilloscope, analyzers, and shell scripts to qualify, validate and resolve NVIDIA products for customer systemsTrack, file new bugs and reproduce issues as neededCreate hardware design guides, application notes, datasheets, and other supporting technical collateralWork on initiatives and provide feedback to the product team to influence future NVIDIA product designs based on the feedback from customers and technology trendsWhat we need to see:BS/MS in EE, CE, Systems Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of relevant experienceStrong analytical skills including experience in PCB design and reviewProfessional-level interpersonal skills, including an ability to adjust communication to the technical level of the audienceA highly developed capability to accurately and succinctly communicate procedures, results, and recommendations to customersExperience with using lab tools such as oscilloscope, multi-meters and logic analyzersComfortable working in various Linux environments as well as with Windows OSsNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
