We are now looking for a General Ledger Accountant!This position requires an organized, highly motivated and detail-oriented person with strong drive and skillset to assist in the general ledger area. The individual will perform a variety of tasks ranging from routine to complex analysis and play an important part in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close process resulting in complete and accurate financials. This position is the best suited for an aspiring individual who enjoys accounting operations, is career minded, detail oriented and excels in a fast-paced environment.What you’ll be doing:Prepare general ledger account reconciliation and analysis for the assigned GL accounts, verify data for completeness and accuracy, and resolve account discrepancies on a timely basisPrepare journal entries for monthly, quarterly and year-end close to record accruals, amortizations, and proper balance sheet classifications.Participate in the Company’s quarterly, interim, and year-end audits and prepare supporting schedules (PBCs) and respond to auditor inquiries, as well as support other functional groups within your area of responsibility.Create fixed assets in the Company’s SAP fixed assets sub-ledger by verifying source data, such as purchase requisitions and purchase orders for completeness and accuracy and resolve discrepancies on a timely basisWork with other teams, including FP&A, AP, Purchasing, Tax, and Facilities to resolve issues in the fixed asset area including physical verificationEnsure compliance with accounting policies and procedures including adherence to SOX processesGet cross-trained and learn other functions within the finance domain in order to back-fill when others are out of office or on leaveWhat we need to see:Bachelors Degree in Commerce or Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)5-7 years operational experience in an accounting organizationKnowledge of ERP system of accounting (preference for SAP system)Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook) requiredGood analytical, problem solving skills, attention to detailGood communication skill to interact with internal teams/external consultants across regionsA self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentWays to stand out from the crowd:Strong desire to gain knowledge and drive for excellenceGood at relationship building skills with co-workers and other teamsReal passion for continuous improvement of systems and processesOpen to taking over additional responsibilities as part of career growth and development.NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
