For more details on NeMo LLM Service check https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/gpu-cloud/nemo-llm-service/What you’ll be doing:Build training data sets for multi-modal large language models including Neural Machine Translation (NMT), Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), and text-to-speech (TTS) systemsDevelop WFST and Neural networks-based Text-Normalization and Inverse Text-Normalization for NMT, ASR, TTSUse and extend internal MLOps tooling to scale model development and automate cross-team workApply data science techniques to characterize model performance and quality metrics across platforms for various speech AI components and identify areas for improvementCollaborate with other engineers and scientists in data collection and development effortsWrite clear and concise documents (e.g. analysis reports)Collaborate with various teams on new product features and improvements of existing productsParticipate in developing and reviewing code, design documents, use case reviews, and test plan reviewsHelp innovate, identify problems, recommend solutions and perform triage in a collaborative team environmentWhat we need to see:Masters or PhD in Computational Linguistics (or equivalent field with computational emphasis) or equivalent experience3+ years of experienceNative or near-native fluency in a non-English language - Spanish / Mandarin / German / Japanese / Russian / French / UK English / Arabic Korean / Italian / PortugueseKnowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, bash)Knowledge of grammar, language structure, phonetics/phonology, and ability to analyze/validate phonetic transcriptionsExperience with WFST, PytorchExperience with building and customizing large language models, speech recognition, and speech synthesis modelsExcellent written and spoken communication skillsExperience with MLOps workflows & traceability and versioning of datasets and understanding of MLOps life cycleGeneral background around version control and code review tools like Git, Gerrit.Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, specifically a proven ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic matrix environmentWays to stand out from the crowd:Hands-on experience on Language Technologies like Neural machine translation, Automatic Speech Recognition, Text to Speech etcExperience in writing grammars and building FSTsStrong personal interest in learning, researching, and creating new technologies related to foreign languages, linguistics, phonetics, phonology and language technologyFeeling comfortable and motivated when working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environmentStrong C++ programming skillsBackground with deploying machine learning models on data center, cloud, and embedded systems and background with Dockers and KubernetesNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
