Senior Security Engineer, Cloud Platforms

The NVIDIA GPU Cloud Platform team is looking for a senior security engineer to help with building and operating our next-gen AI infrastructure platforms. In this role, you will work closely with dedicated cross-functional teams and apply your expertise in compute, storage and network security, cloud technologies, distributed systems, and drive the secure design, development, deployment and operations practices.What you will be doing:Work with engineering teams to ensure robust, secure service posture from design over implementation to operation of NVIDIA cloud platforms and edge/IoT servicesDesign and development of tools and systems that broadly align with prevention, detection and response security functionsPerform security assessments and code reviews.Integrate tools with the build pipeline to detect security vulnerabilities early in the software development lifecycleDevelop, deploy and operate systems to tackle challenges around application security, vulnerability patch automation, intrusion detection, continuous monitoring etc.Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering and development lifecycle processes, mentor engineering staff and develop and deliver security training sessions for engineersReview and prioritize security findings and provide hands-on security engineering expertise across a wide variety of technology platforms, assessing risk, crafting fixes, and implementing them in partnership with our dev and QA staff.Assist in handling security incidents and work with our software security response team.What We Need To SeeBS or MS degree (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of experience in the security industry. To be successful in this role, you have excellent working knowledge in the following areas of expertise:Hands on experience with Kubernetes infrastructure security in the hybrid environmentVery good understanding of the Kubernetes networking concepts and security threatsSolid foundation in networking protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, L2/L3, VXLAN technologies)Experience with integrating security tools into build pipelineExperience in software development (for instance in C, C++, Java, Golang, Python)Web application infrastructure as well as UNIX-based operating systems, with a focus on security aspects of application and operating system platformsDemonstrable experience with performing security requirements analyses, building threat models, do design reviews and document relevant mitigation techniques, applying applications security design patterns, implementing common security algorithms and protocols, and perform security testing and penetration testing.You will be a leader for the virtual security team and to be successful you would need to demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Demonstrate use of out-of-box thinking for creative solutions to highly sticky problemsKnowledge of Confidential Computing technologiesAI/ML-specific threats and their mitigationsSolid grasp of cryptographic algorithms, authentication protocols, and transport layer security, OIDC, OAuth, SAMLImplemented zero-trust model for the hybrid Kubernetes infrastructureExperience with Data Center and Cloud security, CSPs (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)Understanding of GPU architectures, parallel computing, and associated programming techniquesMaster of Science, Ph.D., or equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field preferredNVIDIA is leading the way in groundbreaking developments in Artificial Intelligence, High-Performance Computing and Visualization.
