NVIDIA is searching for a highly motivated, creative engineer to join the GPU Software team. As a GPU system software engineer, you will work with a team of highly talented software and hardware engineers involving a wide variety of technologies. As someone who is hardworking and passionate about their work, you will design key aspects of our software stack that enables running pioneering AI applications on NVIDIA'S platforms. You should demonstrate the ability to excel in an environment with sophisticated system level interactions.What you'll be doing:Design and implement changes in NVIDIA SW stack to accelerate AI use cases across all of the NVIDIA devices.Understand how to efficiently deploy AI applications and models in power and performance constrained environments.You will follow the devices all the way through the development process to the customer desktops, notebooks, workstations, and gaming console products that are used throughout the worldHeavily involved with the early modeling and simulation required to create our groundbreaking productsMultiple opportunities to collaborate and communicate effectively with teams from all around the globeWhat we need to see:BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree or equivalent experienceBackground in machine learning, AI, and/or statistical modeling.Strong C/C++ programming skills as well as having shown initiative in pursuing independent coding projectsFamiliarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.)Strong systems fundamentals with OS/Kernel experience on Linux, Windows systems with a view towards writing performant and energy efficient solutions3+ years of meaningful software development experienceWays to stand out from the crowd:Strong understanding of AL/ML algorithms and applying them to production level solutionsUnderstanding of distributed AI training and inference between local and remote devicesFamiliarity with kernel level security conceptsExperience with embedded system SW conceptsNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
