The Automotive Vehicles team is searching for a creative and experienced Software Systems Engineer to help us bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution out to the world! You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will redefine the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our AV SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all relevant NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. We have goals, customers, and competition.What you will be doing:Develop comprehensive, stable, traceable requirements to achieve customer expectation, regulation/law/legal/safety compliance and company business strategyDrive the interface development across abstraction layers with OEM partners to mitigate function development and interaction risksLead the E2E functional architecture development, and documentation in model-based systems engineering (e.g. SysML)Actively participate in verification and validation activities to tailer the test strategy and evaluate the test-requirement coverage completeness and efficiency.Hands-on road and simulation testing data triage to continuously supervise system performance and improve requirement and solution in close-loopPerform analytic or data-driven use case analysis to derive the performance requirements in order to measure current product readiness and investigate next-generation solution providing.What we need to see:BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years experience in the relevant role.Validated experience in systems engineering for safety critical systems including requirement analysis, function allocation and trade-off study, testing strategy and verification plan, data triage and analysis.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a logic approach to problem solving, time management and task prioritizationWays to stand out from the crowd:Product experience on SAE Level 3 and beyond autonomous driving systemsCertification experience with regulation and safety standards as UN R-157, ISO26262, ISO21448 and othersHands-on experience in functional safety and SOTIF risk analysis and mitigationDesign and implementation experience on software productsThe base salary range is $144,000 - $270,250.
