This unique opportunity will allow you to make a substantial impact by securing large-scale infrastructure and various foundational services. If you are a dedicated engineer with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure security and distributed systems, and you thrive in an ambitious, innovative environment, this could be an exciting role for you.What you will be doing:Actively engage with product engineering teams to conduct comprehensive security reviews of new services and featuresApply threat modeling techniques to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilitiesDesign security controls to mitigate all identified risksCollaborate with product engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of identified security controlsAssess security issues flagged by diverse scanning tools and guide teams on risk mitigationPerform code reviews to identify security issues and work with engineers to address theseDesign and implement cloud security controls to secure the cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes cluster, and services.Monitor infrastructure and services to alert on security events.Develop tooling to automate the remediation of security events.Collaborate on security and compliance certifications such as PCI, SOC2, etc.What we need to see:Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and building security controls for large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed servicesStrong experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExpertise in cloud security, Kubernetes security, application security, and performing security code reviewsFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools like TerraformProficiency in scripting languages such as PythonProficiency in various monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch, and ThanosWays to Stand Out from the Crowd:Bring an innovative approach and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo and bring fresh ideasAlways look for ways to improve the security of existing systems and processesHave a deep understanding of the latest technologies and trends in cloud security and distributed systemsUnderstand the underlying principles of tools and leverage this knowledge to make strategic decisionsBe committed to personal and professional growth and always seek opportunities to learn new skills and deepen your expertiseBy joining our team, you will be part of a forward-thinking company that values innovation and creativity.
