NVIDIA's Cloud data centers host ground-breaking products across high-performance computing to machine learning applications for autonomous vehicles and healthcare. At the heart of our data centers is the ability to engineer mechanical and electrical designs in close coupling to NVIDIA's industry-leading GPU and DGX products. We are seeking a Data Center, Chemical and/or Material Engineer to help develop our next-generation data centers!What You Will Be Doing:Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to identify and collect requirements to help build the chemical/material engineering program for our next-generation data centers.Support chemical and material engineering activities, commissioning, and operations projects for the Data Center Engineering and Operations team.Aid in troubleshooting and establishing corrective actions for operational issues and working with site teams at our global data center fleetDevelop cooling system testing procedures, thresholds, and mitigation to ensure accurate choice of fluids and wetted material compatibility to ensure system health in the data centers.Develop specifications, scopes of work, and RFPs for fluid and materials testing laboratories to support Nvidia’s global data center growth.Work with business and technical teams to lead our laboratory testing vendors to ensure Nvidia’s technical and business requirements are met.What We Need To See:Excellent written and verbal skills to lead effectively across cultures and geographiesBS in Chemical, Materials Engineering or other related engineering field or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in water distribution systems, including reverse osmosis (RO) plants, filtration, and pretreatment processes. Preference is with candidates having direct experience working in data centers having deployed liquid cooling systems.Knowledge of liquid cooling wetted material compatibility with various manufacturing/assembly steps as well as choice of fluids in single and two phase cooling as well as immersion cooling systems.Troubleshooting, project management, problem-solving skills and experience driving root cause analysis to sophisticated projects under pressureExperience with equipment commissioning, testing, and related activitiesWays To Stand Out From the Crowd:Experienced working in a leased colocation data center environmentKnowledge of data center cooling using air, single phase liquid, two phase pumped refrigeration and immersion cooling with supporting chilled water facilityHave excellent interpersonal and leadership skills will be critical for success: success depends on establishing rapport and credibility with multiple partners across the organizationTrack record with delivering high availability in sophisticated, global environmentsExperience with HVAC systems, chilled water systems, condenser water systems, pump controls, Glycols, hot/cold aisle containment, and liquid cooling.NVIDIA provides a comprehensive benefits package to help your physical, mental, and financial health and overall well-being, so you can do your life’s work.
