Our CV-Cuda team supports this mission by building accelerated libraries and services for computer vision that can save customers hundreds of millions of dollars in operating costs and eliminate thousands of tons of data center emissions.Interested in an opportunity to build a team and a product from an early phase? We're looking for a technical leader with expertise in classical computer vision to help take CV-CUDA to the next level. The right candidate will deeply understand the needs of AI developers, and care about building well-engineered, performant software that makes a difference.What you'll be doing:Driving the growth of the CV-CUDA product to better serve AI developers from cloud to edge. This includes shaping product roadmap, defining technical architecture, and leading execution.Building a world-class computer vision system software teamCollaborating with NVIDIA product teams such as ISAAC, DeepMaps, Metropolis, and Clara to understand how accelerated computer vision can improve their products and to build common solutions that we can share with the worldPartnering with key customers and field teams to deliver end-to-end acceleration resulting in meaningful cost and carbon savings.What we need to see:MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or related area.8+ years management experience, 15+ overall years total engineering experience including direct responsibility for production computer vision software libraries.Proficiency in C, C++, CUDA, and PythonFamiliarity with Pythonic AI development in Torch, TRT, JAX, or similar.Proven track record of developing and productizing computer vision algorithms and solutions for diverse markets. Have you built robots, self-driving cars, image search engines, VR headsets, assembly line inspection stations, drones, endoscopes? We would love to hear more about the challenges you faced and how you overcame them to deliver outstanding results!Deep grounding in computer vision and mathematical fundamentals including linear algebra and numerical methods to steer technical direction, assess the value of emerging technologies, and develop your engineers.Pragmatic and data-driven project management skills to navigate software development lifecycle requirements, product release schedules, and customer desires and deliver quality software on schedule.Strong collaboration and influencing skills to successfully navigate a highly matrixed environment.Positive vision and passion for high-performance, clean, and powerful code.Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:Innovative leadership, resulting in first-of-kind products, patents, process improvements, business efficiency, and publications.Expertise in 3D computer vision, computational imaging, or vision transfomers.Experience developing large scale cloud servicesStartup experience, zero to one.The base salary range is $268,000 - $460,000.
